Form of Government

The City of Llano has an Aldermanic form of government consisting of a Mayor and Council Members, elected by and responsible to the citizens of Llano, and a City Manager, appointed by and responsible to the City Council for proper administration of the affairs of the City.

The City of Llano, Llano County, Texas is an incorporated Type A General Law City. An election was held May 31st, 1892 and a majority of votes cast were in favor of incorporation. On June 1st, 1892 an order incorporating the City of Llano was adopted.

City Council

The City Council of Llano consists of six members: a mayor and five council members elected from the City at-large. The Mayor and Council Members serve two (2) year terms.

City Council meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday’s of the month in Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of City Hall.

City Hall, located at 301 West Main in Llano, Texas, is open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to
5 PM, with the exception of the following:
