Open: Open 7 days a week year-round, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. for
day use activities
Busy Season: Year-round,
especially during spring, fall, and winter.The
park reaches capacity (in terms of parking) and frequently closes on weekends (sometimes
as early as 11 AM) Reopening usually occurs at 5 PM. Call ahead or have alternate plans
if you arrive at the park and find it closed. Campers with reservations are granted entry
at any time.
During Fall, call the Texas Parks & Wildlife
information hotline at 800.792.1112 prior to planning your visit. When controlled public
hunts are in progress, general access is not permitted. The hotline is available between 8
AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday.

The park is 18 miles north of Fredericksburg on
Ranch Road 965, or from Llano, take State Highway 16 for 14 miles south and then go west
on Ranch Road 965.
