The Acme
The Acme was a business long before it moved to its present location at 109 W. Main in
1923. The building was constructed in the 1890's (Historical Marker)

Badu House
Built in 1891, this structure originally housed the First National Bank of Llano. It was
purchased in 1898 by French native, Professor N. J. Badu. Now a Bed & Breakfast,
restaurant and club. Located at 601 Bessemer Avenue. (Historical
Marker)

Confederate Monument
This monument on the
Courthouse Square was sculpted by James K. Finlay and sons in 1916.

Grace Episcopal Church
Built to house the
Llano Academy in 1881, the venture failed and it was purchased in 1883 by the West Texas
Missionary District of the Episcopal Church. The building was completed in 1889. Located
at Oatman and Brown streets in Llano. (Historical Marker)

Chrissy's Homestyle Bakery
This
Spanish-mission style building was erected in 1919 by T. Y. Hill to house the offices for
his company, the Cassaday Grey Granite Company. Located at 501 Bessemer.

Llano County Courthouse
Located in the
center of Llano's historic square, the courthouse was built in 1893. It is one of 68 that
remain of Texas Courthouses built before 1900. (Historical Marker)

Llano County "Red Top" Jail
The Redtop
jail was built in 1895 from Llano County granite and is a Romanesque Revival structure
that originally had a red roof. Because of this, inmates referred to their sojourn in the
jail as staying in the "Red Top". On Oatman Street, one block northeast of the
courthouse square. (Historical Marker)

Masonic Temple. This interesting stone
building was built in 1907 as the Masonic Temple at 832 Ford in downtown Llano.

O. Henry School Building
This two-story
building erected in 1888 was named for Texas writer William Sidney Porter (O. Henry). Located at 1400 Oatman Street in Llano. (Historical Marker)

Southern Hotel
The Southern Hotel, located
on the square in Llano was built in 1880 as a stagecoach stop between Mason and Burnet.

Teich Marker. This marker on the Courthouse
Square commemorates the career of sculptor Frank Teich, whose works are seen in cities
across the United States. (Historical Marker)

The Fraser House
This unique granite
structure at 207 E. Main was built in 1903 by William Fraser, one of the 200 master
stonecutters brought over from Scotland in 1888 to complete the capitol building located
in Austin.

World War I Monument
This bronze of a World
War I soldier on the Courthouse Square was sculpted by Frank Teich.
